Rewrite URLs and Redirects
Rewrite URLs or "Redirects" are used to redirect traffic to different URLs. In most situations, a given URL should always be available once they are published, at least for a period of time. This means that changing a published URL can be somewhat difficult with most CMSs, but not with Core Plus.
Automatic Updates
When a page's URL is changed, say /services/sip-phones
to /services/voip-and-sip-phones
, Core will automatically create a redirect rule for the old URL to forward traffic and crawlers to the correct page with the correct redirect codes.
This can be seen once a page is updated, by browsing back to the edit function for the page and viewing the Meta and URL
tab. Listed under Rewrite URLs
should be the old URL the page was listed.
